TF RID is good, so long as you don't think of it as being related to TFP. RID has some cute and funny moments, but after watching all the episodes (the first season is 26 episodes, and I have watched them all) there's not way that it holds up to TFP. The first season has a lack of build up for the season finale and it's strange how they set up the whole thing. I'd say RID is worth the watch, but don't expect too much from it.
It has cute and funny moments, but in my opinion it feels like when it tries to be serious, it fails. However, there are a lot of darker themes and things that can be implied, depending on how much you read into details.
